The greatest Broncos games in history is both real and relative. For you, the greatest Broncos Game might be the one you went to. It could be one of John Elway's greatest comeback victories, or when Terrell Davis ran for 2000 yards the last week of the season against the Seahawks.

We have put together our Top 10 Denver Broncos Games of All Time. We put more weight on the importance of the game, than on an individuals accomplishment. Enjoy!

Top 10 Broncos Games of All Time

1.     Super Bowl XXXII was the greatest game in Denver Broncos History. Led by Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway and all pro running back Terrell Davis, the Broncos beat the defending champion Green Bay Packers to win their first Super Bowl in their fifth attempt.

2.     Super Bowl XXXIII had the spotlight on John Elway and he delivered with an MVP performance, passing 336 yards and a touchdown, adding another touchdown on the ground as the Broncos dismantled the Falcons 34-19.

3.     1977 AFC Championship Game featuring the 14-2 Denver Broncos against the hated Oakland Raiders. The Broncos were led by their Orange Crush Defense with Randy Gradishar and Louis Wright. The Raiders had beaten up on the Broncos for years, but Denver got their revenge by ending the Raiders season and propelling the team to their first Super Bowl.

4.     “The Drive” is another name for the 1986 AFC Championship Game between the Denver Broncos and the Cleveland Browns. Denver was on the road on a cold, dreary, Cleveland day. With five minutes to play, the Browns took a 20-13 lead. To make matters worse, Ken Bell mishandled the kickoff and the Broncos had to start at their own 2 yard line. Then John Elway led “The Drive” 98 yards down the field for the tying touchdown. The Broncos won in overtime 23-20.

5.     1997 Divisional Playoffs. December 24, 1977 against the team of the 1970’s the Pittsburgh Steelers. Denver’s Orange Crush defense was the star on this day, led by two Tom Jackson interceptions off of Terry Bradshaw, the Broncos went on to crush the Steelers 34 to 21.

6.     1991 Divisional Playoff against the high powered Houston Oilers. After Houston jumped out to a 21-6 lead, John Elway rallied the Denver Broncos back. With less than two minutes to play, Denver trailed Houston 24-23 and Denver had the ball on their own two yard line again, but this time with no time outs. John Elway picked up to crucial fourth downs, one with his legs and the next with his arm as the Denver Broncos beat the Houston Oilers 26-24 to go to the AFC Championship Game.

7.     “The Fumble” was the 1987 AFC Championship Game, once again against the Cleveland Browns for the right to play in the Super Bowl. This time Denver got off to a fast start and an early lead, thanks in large part to Browns turnovers. Cleveland battled back to tie the game at 31-31. Then Elway drove the Broncos down the field for the go ahead touchdown and a 38-31 lead. Finally, the Browns led by Kosar and Byner marched down the field. The handed the ball to Earnest Byner at the five yard line and he fumbled the ball as he approached the goal line. The Broncos won 38-33.

8.     The 1997 AFC Championship Game featured a rematch between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers had home field thanks to they handily beat the Broncos earlier in the season. However John Elway was determined to get back to the Super Bowl and did so by holding on to a 24-21 victory, winning their third consecutive road playoff game.

9.     2005 Divisional Playoffs against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Champ Bailey came up big picking of Brady in the end zone and returning it to the other one yard line. The Broncos went on to win the game 27-13.

10. September 9, 1960, the Denver Broncos were the first AFL team to win a game, defeating the Boston Patriots 13-10. For over a decade this was the Broncos crowning achievement since they didn’t win many games. As a result of their rich history, this game comes in a number 10 on the list now.
